The Headhunter Training Academy (HTA) offers people the chance to earn while they learn. Your employment will start with a 12 week training programme followed by a role within Elliot Marsh Ltd or Executive Headhunters Ltd. The HTA scans the whole market place for experienced people from any industry and raw graduates who have got the drive and determination to make it as a Headhunter.
The Headhunter Training Academy also provides training to In-house Recruiters, Executive Resourcers as well as providing work experience and internships for those people interested in a career in headhunting.
Job Description: Trainee Headhunter
Reports to: Learning and Development Manager
Location: Altrincham, Cheshire
Job purpose:
To successfully complete the (paid) 12-week Headhunter Training Academy whilst consulting with clients and candidates to understand their needs and provide high-level recruitment services and business recommendations. On successful completion of the programme, candidates will be offered a role within either Executive Headhunters Ltd or Elliot Marsh.
Background to the business:
Executive Headhunters Ltd is generalist, senior management and Board level executive headhunting organisation providing recruitment services to companies in the UK and Internationally. Elliot Marsh Ltd is a specialist headhunting organisation, providing recruitment services across the following industries; construction, property, architecture, print, legal, building services, facilities and engineering.
Both organisations meet with their clients and consult with them regarding the challenges they are facing from a recruitment and business growth perspective. They then make recommendations based on this consultation and provide thorough, accountable recruitment services.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
To identify candidates suitable for marketing to companies
To identify decision makers within target companies
To present candidates to clients, selling the benefits of that candidate to each business and arranging interviews
To identify vacancies suitable for one of our recruitment services
To arrange appointments to discuss recruitment services with clients
To identify and follow-up references
To identify and follow-up sales leads identified from various software and questioning of people within the market place
To identify candidates in relation to specific roles
To interview candidates to assess suitability face to face and over the phone
To negotiate pay rates and terms of business
Targets:
80 calls per day or 3 hours talk-time per day

Confident and articulate communicator both face-to-face and over the telephone
